Good Morning LL.
Using Checkers' 'legal' name for header now, cuz there is another Checkers here.
I stupidly left a can of HC on the counter last night, and this morning found the gravy licked out of it :YMSIGH:
Don't know when he did it, but we still got a decent low yellow for amps.
Breakfast is done, and everyone is sleeping now, and I'm following suit.
See y'all later.

Note to bean -- remember to rinse out the cans of HC.

I gotta tell ya, between the cost for strips, insulin, meter, lancets, and vet bills, I'm thinking of re-naming Gabby "Credit Card."

Good morning guys .. I never knew checkers "legal" name was checkbook .. too funny .. I hope the HC doesn't shoot up checkers numbers but if it does, at least you will know why it's high .. hope you guys have a great day!

Checkbook, eh? Let's hope he doesn't want to write too many checks. He might be planning to go on a shopping spree for HC gravy.

Karrie, when I got him he was itty bitty, with no name. Long story short, my DD had rescued him, and 2 siblings, from a neighbor.
The owner didn't know there were 3 kittens in the barn, until they stumbled out, half starved, and very sick.
Their mama had been killed in the road. The family couldn't afford to take them to a vet.
The children brought the kittens next door to my DD, 'cause she was a wildlife rehabber. She got them medical care and nursed them to health. She kept the 2 that survived.

Fast forward a few weeks:
One day, DD asked me to petsit, so she could go out of town, and I told her "Don't even hope I'll keep yer stupid kittens, they'll cost too much for vet care"
She laughed and said. "you can call one of them Checkbook" I did!
And so began my life with cats, Checkbook and Samantha (GA)

TMI? :-D

Love the story - it makes me smile every time I read it. Love his "legal" name, though I think Sienne's idea is good too - isn't it the truth in both cases. :lol: :lol:

Way to go with the gravy Checks! nicely done! Amazing to see the amps, considering... maybe it had worn off by then. :-D Looks like he is on his way to a great morning cycle. YA!

I have the memory of a goldfish - every time you write it, it will be the first time for me. ohmygod_smile My short term memory is horrible. I was probably the one who asked last time ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile Thank you for resharing if it was. I love how he got his legal name :lol: Bet Samantha was glad it wasn't her.

Love the story of Checks legal name! I've had the same thought as Sienne at times. :lol: Hopefully the contraband clears his system soon and he's back to pretty numbers in no time!

I hadn't heard the story of naming Checkbook, so I'm glad you retold it.
And then all the other apropos names that followed, hahahaha!!

Now Checkbook, your numbers are out of balance, so come back down, ok?

I love this place, and you guys. Sometimes I'm afraid to even post the stupid things I do to set my baby back; but instead of beating me up, y'all make me laugh.
This is the best place for bolstering each other.

Checks is coming down faster than I though he would. I just couldn't bear the thought of giving even MC, to slow the drop tonight. Guess I should have.

ouch on the 413 - bet that kibble was darn good, right down to the last kernel! Go Checks! I am glad though to see that +2 - sure did clear that quick. SWEET!

aw, Barb...i'm right there with you on the silly setbacks...
about an hour ago i noticed binks trying to get something from under the couch,
and he triumphantly retrieved a Gummi Bear!
Yeesh, Binks...even I don't eat those things!! he would have, tho...
thank goodness i caught him.
guess it's time for spring cleaning :lol:
