Hi guys. Charlie definitely feels better today and this am tested only trace ketones. I gave him a unit of r at +6 and his number at that time was 386. It's now 405! Should I give more r? He was eating higher cal food yesterday but since 6 am and through the day today is back to purina Dm.

I would wait until pmps to give more R at this point. You could give him another R shot at +10 when you're confident the R from +6 is gone, but then you wouldn't be able to give more until +2, and I think it would be smarter to just wait til pmps.

What you may be seeing is that the 1uR held him down from soaring where he would've gone if you hadn't given him any. I think he's bouncing from the yellow numbers yesterday.

Glad to hear he's down to a trace - that's good news.

Depends where he is at PMPs.
If it looks like he may be zooming up, 1u may be best. If he is about the same but not lower than 300, you could go with 0.5u.
In any case grab periodic tests throughout tonights cycle (Great job testing on the overnight last night!)
This will be cycle 4 of this dose so it's important to see where he goes tonight - it will help you know if you need to increase Lantus in the AM.
