Happy Sunday. At +24 Charley was at 298. Since we were going out for the day, I dropped down to .25...just in case. I just tested him at +12 and he is at 155. Don't think he will be getting his shot tonight. This once a day shootable numbers is very odd.

It most likely means his pancreas is helping after the insulin wears out. Did you read my reply on your thread about chasing the numbers? It is more successful than skipping shots.

I did read it, but I'm not sure I understand. I thought you had to stay on a twelve hour schedule? I leave for an unexpected day of work tomorrow at 5 am. My husband has tried to test and give insulin many times but can't get over his fear of needles. I'm concerned about him not being on a 5am/pm routine. If I give him insulin later tonight, then what would tomorrow look like?

That is the rub. If you mini dose, you have to be able to shoot off the 12/12 schedule, shooting later than +12, if the preshot number is too low. But if that schedule won't work for you, you can still do the 12/12, lower the dose and hope you get two shootable preshots. And then on the weekend, when you have time, do the "chasing"
