Hi all,
Finally, after 10 days with Caninsulin, I'm soon changing to Lantus.
It seems Caninsulin has a very short effect on Owen (it's gone after +6 hours according to the curve and tests I've made).
Here is Owen's spreadsheet if someone wants to take a look (and of course, giving an opinion about the numbers... which are horrible
):

About the first pmps I have to say that's very weird... I didn't know how to use the glucometer by then, I don't know if it was a wrong or right... The thing is that after the first shot, there was a Somogyi effect (bouncing), according to my vet.
So now the desision was moving to Lantus. I'm still trying to find the new syringes I will need, and the insulin itself.
The thing is, I'm also travelling this weekend, so maybe it's not a good a idea to make the change now, right?
Somone with experiance from the vet clinic is going home to test and shot Owen while I'm out, with Caninsulin (which doesn't last, but because nothing is worst, isn't it?) and my neighbour will look after him the rest of the day.
So... how is an insulin change handled? Just right away, from morning to night? Or should I wait some days without shooting Owen during the weekend for example, to start all over when I'm back on Monday?
Thanks a lot!
