Today I didn`t give Lulu any dry food except for a few Medi-treats (and no more of those from now on, just freeze dried treats). She just went downstairs to use the LB and the smell was awful; I went down to stoop and scoop, yep she has the runs. Is this cause for concern?
Yesterday was mostly canned with a small (1/8 cup) dry and her poops were normal.
I fear I'm becoming a bit obsessive about my sugar kitty...

A lot of people use forti flora when diarrhea occurs. One lot of the runs is probably nothing to be too concerned about but if it continues she is likely to get dehydrated.

You may find it helpful to give a probiotic, such as Forti Flora. As Larry mentioned, transitioning food slowly helps reduce GI upsets. Maybe back up a step and feed 20% dry 80% wet for a day or two, then try again.

I never could switch Goof to all wet, actually, any wet food and he vomits. So he's a dry food kitty. He gets 1/4 cup am and pm of Evo Cat and Kitten Dry. It's max 12% carbs and he likes it. He was diagnosed on Dec. 4, 2014, he currently has not had insulin for 5 days, see my post in the Honeymooners/OTJ forum.
