Hello again! It's been a while since Baloo and I have been here, busy with school, work, and moving to a new house! I wanted to report that he has been OTJ for a month! His latest boarding and blood tests at the vet confirmed his numbers were normal. We now have a new concern however; he's taken to meowing for 2 hours prior to mealtime. This is mildly irritating when it's 4 in the afternoon, but quite unbearable at 4 in the morning. Currently we're feeding him a can of Fancy Feast pate morning and evening, and he weighs 15 pounds. My questions are am I feeding him enough, and could it be the fancy Feast itself causing this problem? Before the diabetes episode I was feeding him honest kitxhen/Weruva type food, so I'm wondering if he's having a bad reaction to a "lower quality" food. I've been through the cat food breakdown list, but it's overwhelming trying to find something within the guidelines AND available at PETCO (I have the rewards card). I'll go to a different store if it's necessary, but I'd rather get my shopping done in one place, if possible.

How is his weight doing? If he is losing weight and you do not want weight loss feed more. Two cans of FF a day does not seem like enough for a 15 lb kitty.
