So about three weeks ago we learned the news that our 12 yo cat CC is diabetic. It was quite a shock, and I'll fully admit I spent that entire night bawling my eyes out. I've since gotten myself together and we are taking it day by day and adjusting to our new reality. She is on 1 unit twice a day of Vetsulin.

Just wanted to say hello, and that I'm glad to find this site and hope to learn as I go.

Hello and welcome. Pretty cat. Well the good news is cats with diabetes can live a long time. Most pass from something other than diabetes. Forming a plan now will really help you get a handle on how to treat the diabetes and maybe achieve remission. Hi Janet welcome to you and beautiful CC! There's lots to learn and it can seem overwhelming, but in time you will get a routine going. Read all you can and ask lots of questions. Knowledge is the best way to help CC .
