WCR: Tuffy is well. She is up to her old tricks. After a year, she has decided that when I go out I’m coming back so she is no longer stress when I leave. She is coming down the dosing scale, albeit it in an unusual manner. In the past week she has visited the 20s and 30s three times. She is running in the 60s to 120s and seems very proud of herself. Her dose is down from 5.5 to 4.25. I thought for a while we would end up back as 7-10 units like when she started this journey.

Last night at +2.5 she was 33, +3 23, +3.5 33, +4 45. Last night I gave her some honey. Today she was 190 AMPS. Another evening, I could not get her out of the 30s so today I bought some HC. She always reacted with a big bounce to HC. Things change so I will see how it goes.
She continues her antics. Her latest adventure is telling me when her Breeze pad needs changing. She pulls the bag out and deposits it in front of the litter pan. After 3 years, she has finally decided that Waif is not a threat. Today is the first time she has not wacked him when he approached her. Waif thinks he is a lap cat but he is too big for my lap so the visits are short.

August is a difficult month for me. In past Augusts I have lost 3 horses the most recent being Pami only 2 years ago, Tuffy’s best friend Heidi, the Rottie and my patio dweller.
I’ve been discharged by my orthopaedic surgeon after 11 months as fully recovered. I am so thankful for his excellent care. He claims I’m his poster girl. I just felt I had to do my therapy to reward his efforts and it worked.

Khoko has been dealing with allergic dermatitis from the no-seeums here in FL. With all our rain, the bug situation is terrible. We have had 30 out of 31 days of rain. UGH. Had some pictures of Khoko taken but the body shots were too dark, need to redo with a flash.

I check the board frequently. But don’t post, working 6-6 ½ days so not much time left after taking care of my 4 legged friends but I'm glad I finally found a job. Sending vines to all the ailing kitties, Miko, Doogle, Jupe and Maggie and any I may have missed. Also congratulations to the recent OTJs, and success to all the newbies. This place ROCKS.
The picture of Khoko was after 40 minutes of photos. It was very hot and the photographer asked Khoko to turn once more for a picture and that is what he got. We all laughed. My animals have strong personalities. LOL

Hi Barbara,
Tuffy, you are doing great! It is wonderful to read how well you are running the household, making sure that everything gets done when it should, and finally making friends with Waif.
Sorry to hear that Khoko is suffering from the insect bites. I hope your rainy conditions will improve. We have also had a very wet summer (the drought has been declared "over") and, yes, the bugs have been unusually active, even now, when they normally would be winding down.

So nice to see a Tuffy report. And to hear that her dose is going down. What an amazing kitty she is.
Enjoy the rest of the summer, Barbara.

Hugs, scritches, and pats (for Khoko),

Ella & Rusty

Hi Barbara - YAY! A Tuffy condo! Such a special kitty she is. I love all the Tuffy stories. Now this new one with the breeze pads is too darn funny. I am glad too that she has finally accepted Waif. That is wonderful. I wish you luck with the HC. Maybe this time she won't be so sensitive to it. maybe. :-D Keep on coming down the doing scale Tuffy!

I am glad that all is well with you. That is wonderful news! :-D

LOVE the Khoko photo! :-D

Uh, your ss is about a year out of date :?

I'm also happy to see a Tuffy condo and glad she is doing so well. What a silly girl she is, and also such a smart lady cat with a strong but lovely personality, just like her mom ;-)

Great photo of Khoko

Keep on keeping on Barb :YMHUG:

I agree with Dyana -- I think the "family" takes after their mom!! I do so love Tuffy stories. She has her own unique way of communicating and always leaves me with a smile.

It's truly great to see a Tuffy condo.

Woo hoo, a Tuffy report! And woo hoo hoo on a Barbara report, great news about the job and discharge by the ortho doc. So great to "hear" from you and about how Tuffy is doing. We miss "seeing" you around here. :YMHUG:

Liz and I do not like August either, it's when we have to go back to school.

Khoko! Love that photo! Hahahaha!

So glad to hear that you are doing well, Barbara. Last August was bone crushingly tough on you.
It's great that you got through the physical therapy and won! Yeah!

Tuffy is as funny as ever and as strong as her mommy.

Loved hearing how you and your 4-legged family are doing. Write more often, ok? cat_pet_icon
