Catnip Lover

Stange as it may be...since I am concerned about everything my cat eats, can cat eat catnip? Unlike most cats, my Trouble loves eating it...I'm talking gulps at a time. Will this raise his numbers?

Loves catnip ? Let him have it.

Opinion here is that catnip does not raise BG.

no - catnip won't raise his blood sugar any noticeable amount

however if he runs around like a maniac afterwards, it could lower his blood sugar (exercise uses up blood sugar to feed the muscles)
