Hey all - mostly Lantus board user here. I was at Petco today to get some more litter, and noticed an endcap with a brand I hadn't seen before - Cat Person. https://www.catperson.com/

Has anyone tried this? I'm not great at the carb calculator - is it actually low carb? Just curious for other options.

Oh interesting! - Did you see the press release on the header says Weruva acquired them in June?

I don’t have any info on the company, but did look around a bit out of curiosity…. Their wet foods include tapioca- isn’t that known to have a high glycemic index? So maybe not as good as they advertise unfortunately…

I hadn't seen that, that's interesting. We just happened to pass by it in Petco, and I was curious. They also have some treats I might try for a sometimes treat after I test some to see if they cause her to spike. Not sure about the food yet since I'm trying to make sure any added foods from here on out are lower in phosphorus for her CKD. But from Diane posted, if it's 6-7% carbs, it might be a nice sometimes food for when I'm trying to feed the curve. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Thanks, Diane - that's super helpful! I tried doing a search to see if people had talked about this brand, but weirdly the search term cat person gave me so many results. But the tapioca starch search is helpful! I'm likely still going to avoid using this since I should be looking more toward low phosphorus foods that maybe she'll eat (we haven't had huge success in the past when I've tried).
