My cat Munchie was acting fine earlier but now is lethargic and not wanting to eat. Trying to determine dose for evening. Do folks usually give half dose? Her numbers tend to be on the higher side so thinking she probably needs some. Don't know if she's having pancreatitis episode or not. Just had energy healing session for her which usually helps.

Thanks.

I would suggest testing for ketones right away. Do you have ketone test strips? If not, please go to any pharmacy and buy some. This is very important.

Yes I have ketone strips and was able to test her earlier today and no ketones. She hasn't peed again for me to retest but will test her again when I catch her peeing.

Thank God, on no ketones :YMSIGH:
When is your shot time? And have you tested recently?
Your kitty does need to eat, so we'll have to help you with that.

When was Munchie's last check up/vet visit? I'm very glad you checked for ketones -- my knee jerk reaction was the same as Dyana's. I'd want to get Munchie's kidney values checked, if that hasn't been done recently. You noted that she's had mild renal disease and I'm wondering if that could be an issue. If it's a pancreatitis flare, you may want to try some Pepsid (1/4 of a 10 mg tablet of Pepsid AC). It may also necessitate a vet appointment for pain meds and any other supportive therapy that you would do.

Munchie is either bouncing (and higher side is a bit of an understatement) or she may be in pain or sick. Will she eat anything? Baby food? I would not skip the shot. The history of DKA and possibility of ketones is still a factor. Can you try to finger feed?

Have you been giving the PM shots? I'm just asking because the 10/12 through 10/14 PM Unit boxes are all empty. Maybe you just forgot to enter the data.
Please help us to help you. We can make lots of suggestions to help her to eat or to get some food into her.
