Catee was doing well. Seemed his blood glucose was coming down. Then Sunday he did not eat much... about 2 ozs. Again today, only 2 ozs eating. Then this evening he tried to eat and shook his head. Tried to drink water and did the same. Every time he tries to eat or drink he shakes his head like it hurts.

He is hungry, I can tell. Keeps going up to the bowls but walks away. I've got him to eat a little canned food. He is pacing alot.

How long can he go without water?

I am going to call the Vet in the morning to get a afternoon appointment. Very concerned about him. The last time this happened the vet had cut his claws and I think he got something in his mouth then. I am not sure what is going on now unless it is a ulcer.

He water thing is pretty important. Maybe you could try syringe feeding warm water, if he has a bad tooth, the cold could be causing him pain. Also you could try warming the canned food a little, but it sounds like a vet trip may be needed.

He finally started drinking some water around 5 am... a lot. He then ate a bite of EVO which I believe hurt his mouth again because he tried to drink water after that and he started the head thing again. Looks like it will be tomorrow before the Vet can see him.

It is either he hurt his mouth, has mouth sores, or a tooth problem.

I have been taking canned food mixing it with a little water to get him to eat it. He hates canned food... I mean he will run away from it. I know he is bad when he will lick and eat some of it.

It is kinda funny, when he was finished licking around on the canned food he walked away into the hall and stood looking at me. Like I had tricked him :) and he did not like that.

If you have a little larger syringe, you could try diluting the canned food and force ( I don't like that word) feeding him. Or if you have spare, you could just snip the tip from a smaller one to make the opening larger.

I can sympathize with you in the hating canned food thing, it took me a 6-7 weeks to transition Goof from the dry.
