Cat Milk

Hi everyone,

Is it safe to give cat milk (the one I have in mind is from Whiskas) to a diabetic cat? My sugar kitty is actually on a Friskies diet, he eats 1 1/2 can of Chef's dinner everyday.

Probably contains lactose (milk sugar).

Actually, you can give a small amount of half-and-half cream or heavy whipping cream (dilute a bit
with water)as a treat.

Cream contains very little of the protein that cats have trouble digesting. And
cream contains very little sugar.

The cat milk I use (Catsip I think is the brand) is lactose free- it also has added taurine. My elderly guy loves it- so I use it often (he is CRF/hyperT, not diabetic).

Yes, CatSip is good. If you can find it. And expensive in the pet stores.

Try one carton, then if kitty likes it, you can order direct from AKPharma
by the case. Cheaper even with shipping.

I usually phoned in my order to request a long remaining shelf life.
