Cat food ingredient question

I went to pick up some more canned cat food today to replenish my supply and I was looking at the Friskies Pate ingredients and rice is in the list. I made a list of cat food that I take with me to the store and Friskies Pate is one of the lower carb ones. Is it still okay even though rice is an ingredient?

I've also noticed that some list wheat flour. Is this something to avoid also?

I'm looking for more varieties because my civvie kitties are getting extremely picky and won't eat if it isn't to their liking. My sugar kitty tends to gobble up whatever the civvies leave in their bowl and will even bully them away from their bowls to get their food so I have to feed all of them low carb.

Should I be concerned about rice and wheat flour?

Edited: I meant to add this to Health!!! Sorry!!

Don't worry about it. If a cat has food sensitivities or IBD, then wheat and corn are something to avoid. Rice is generally a non-allergenic grain. Some try to avoid any grains at all, but I personally think some carbohydrates are a good idea. Most canned foods with gravies will have wheat or corn because they need that to make the gravy, but those types are also usually higher in carbs too.

But wouldn't something with rice or corn (or wheat?) mean that it's a higher carb food? My kitties don't really have any food allergies or problems, I was just more concerned about these foods being higher in carbs or do I need to pay attention to where it is on the list? Like if rice is the last ingredient, does that mean it's in such a low quantity that it doesn't really matter?

I meant to post this in Healthy earlier but never got a chance to do that because someone showed up at my door! I'll go ask there too

The addition of any grain, unless it is near the end of the ingredient list, will definitely increase carb content. I know that many here try to feed the lowest carbs possible. I can't do that with my kitty so I'm probably the worst person to ask! Hope you get an answer on health. You did look at Janet and Binky's food lists, right? Those give you a good place to start.
