Hi Roxie is doing well but we just found out we will have to leave our apartment for a week or so to renovate and remove mold. I am having a hard time finding a boarding facility that is affordable in Quebec that will accept her( most refusing injections). She can't stay in the premise as the renovation specialist is allergic and most hotels will not accept her. What do I do? We have no friends to take her.pleaee help.

It seems like your best bet would be to keep looking for a hotel or motel that allows pets. You may need to travel a little further or pay a little more to find one that can accommodate you. I hope you're able to find that. Worse case scenario- cats can be sneaked into some motels. I know someone who kept a cat in his motel room and no one knew she was there. He requested no room service or laundry service, and his cat was clean and quiet. Not a perfect choice for sure, but if you have no other option it may be your only choice. Good luck with all of it. It sounds like it may be stressful for all of you, including the cat.

Try searching on Google for pet friendly hotels in your area. Is it only your apartment or are there others that also need to leave? Also check with the Red Cross. They may have a list of pet friendly hotels and shelters. I hope your landlord is paying for or is going to reimburse you for the costs of relocating while they are fixing the issue.

Hi we live in a upper duplex so we the only Ones leaving. I have Looked into pet hotels but alot of them are unavailable or way too expensive like 400-500 a night. I will expand the area , we are a family of 4 ( two teens).the landlord knows they have to pay hotel and expenses expect for Roxie. However I think they unrealistic how much that is, our rent is 950 and they expect it too be under that for a min of 5 days away. I think landlord will be in for a huge reality check, for something they should have repaired 5 years ago.

There are boarding that will accept Roxie but they almost 80 a day for a cage and no supervision at night( 45 basic cage, plus extra for meds, and petting and outside time.)
