I was wondering if it's just my cat or if others have a change in behaviour.

I think it was my first clue that something was off when she started drinking more water.

My cat won't stay on the chair or the couch since we started insulin. And I notice when her bg numbers are lower, her ears
get warmer, really warm.
She's always been one to be on the bed, the table, so I thought maybe she was having a little leg issue .... (she's got the b12
now too)
If I put her in any of her old favorite places, she gets down.
She's sleeping on the bathmat instead of our bed.

I know it's summer and a bit warmer but she 's totally avoiding the furniture. We have hardwood floors.
Is this just her thing or are any of you having this?

She may be feeling hot and the hardwood floors are cool.

In the summer, my long-hair kitty stays on the floor and won't get on the bed with me. To help him stay cool, I put a metal baking sheet pan on the floor - the metal is cooler than the carpet. (pan upside down, so there is an air gap under it)

my foster kitty goes back and forth, he lays on us for a few, or on the couch next to us, but then he moves over to the coffee table. lays there for a bit, then back on the couch. back and forth all the time. when he gets up from the couch i just say something to him like "gotta go cool off eh?" :-) i've never noticed anything odd about his ear temp though. just figured he's got longer hair and is a big guy so he probably gets too hot.

my diabetic, Mousie, has really cold ears if/when her BG gets very low. when i'm testing her, sometimes i can tell if she's gonna be lower, or higher, based on her ears when i'm rubbing them before poking it.

i have a heart baby, a little over 2.5 years old now, who has never been able to lay with us for very long. he wants too, but if he stays too long, he literally sweats so he lays next to me on the couch, then gets on the floor, then back with us, then back to the floor. and if i lay a blanket out on the floor to lay with the kitties, he will immediately come over and lay with me, but then have to scoot off the blanket onto the tile floor for a bit, then back on the blanket, back to the tile.......i've always thought it interesting and it must be due to his heart condition i figured.

hmmm.
you just made me feel like groping my cat.

she had that invasive lipoma a year ago. If that had an offshoot somewhere and was taking root again, that could raise her temperature.
....can't do anything about that until there is something to feel....
so I guess I should just believe that its warm.
Wish I could just blame it on her being an old lady and having hot flashes

My baby is the exact same way! When her numbers are lower, her ears are perfectly warm!

I was thinking it was more so because its summer, but she does lay on the floor more than other places, but still sleeps with me and lays next to me on the couch. I wouldnt worry about it too much, she may be hot from the weather or not feeling like herself completely if shes not regulated.
