My cat was diagnosed 2 years ago.i give him Fancy feast at 8am and 8pm when he gets his insulin. He has been losing weight and barely eating. I took him to the vet yesterday and found that his BG is still very high and vet had me increase his insulin from 1.5 units to 2 units and do a curve tomorrow. She also tested his urine and said it was full of sugar. To get him to eat more should I try the ForiFlora or try the YA or Evo zero carb with his FF?

Was the urine tested for ketones? Not eating much and high BG can lead to ketones (DKA) which is very bad.
I would try any food that your cat will eat at this time.
What insulin?

Has your kitty been on Fancy Feast patés, or has he been getting Fancy Feast varieties with higher carbs? Anything less than 8% carbs is a good choice to help lower blood sugar. After two years, Hannah has tired of the Fancy Feast patés, so we're currently trying a few of the 9Lives and Friskies flavors that are also lower carb, hoping to improve her appetite. Very helpful food information can be found here. Maybe your fur baby just needs a change of menu... it's worth a try. I find that Hannah doesn't especially like FortaFlora. It's never done much to interest her taste buds. It encourages only a couple of licks and that is about it. Some have reported that it gives their cat an upset tummy. However, every cat is different, and others have had good success with it. It might be worth a try. I've had no experience with a diet of YA or Evo zero carb, so perhaps others with experience can chime in on that. Also, have you tried elevating his bowl? Some have had success with that. And you can also try adding extra water to his food, making it sort of soupy. Sometimes that works. Best of luck. I know how frustrating this loss of appetite thing can be.

You can try adding some tuna water to his food, or sprinkling a little bit of Parmesan cheese on top of it. I crush up Pure Bites chicken treats and sprinkle that over my cats' food, or crushed some YAZC in the food processor and use that as a topping. Sometimes I use crumbled Stella & Chewy's freeze dried as a topping, too. Anything to get the picky ones to eat!

I personally LOVE the young again food and credit it with getting my cat into remission.

It sounds like you are not testing bg levels at home. The best way to keep your cat safe and tweak doses as needed is to test at home. Folks on this board can walk you through how to do that if you are willing. It makes a huge difference.

Please do ketone testing, asap - as Larry notes, your cat is setting up to enter diabetic ketoacidosis. This is very expensive to treat and can cause severe damage or death to your cat.

You may need to assist feed - you blend up the food with some water and use a large syringe to carefully push in the food, little by little, to the back and side of the mouth.
