Cassie's 1 year OTJ anniversary

Been awhile since I've posted & don't know who's still around, but felt the need to share:

Cassie's last insulin shot was at 3pm EST, one year ago today (1/11/15), so we need to celebrate his 1 year OTJ anniversary. Last time I checked he was 84, an hour after food. He's doing great at 15, but his civie brother Benny (17) is having kidney problems.

Hey, Lisa. Really good to hear from you. I take your name in vain all the time when talking about TID and bouncing! How wonderful that Cassie is still doing well and off the juice. Sorry to hear about Benny. It is hard when they age and things start to fail (just like people....). I imagine you remember Tanya's website for CRF; it is a great resource for kidney kitties.

Hi Lisa! I'm so glad to hear from you. I think about you every now and then and wonder how Cassie is. Glad to hear she's still doing well! Sorry about Benny, though. I know it's tough when things start to go wrong...but what a wonderful, long life he's had so far! And hopefully he has a lot of time left still.

So great to hear from you and Cassie and even greater to hear how well you all are doing. Thanks for checking in. You probably are already aware of Tanya's CKD website but as Sue indicates, it is a great resource for kidney issues. Merlin had CKD and the main thing is to feed food low in phosphorous and of course....low in carbs! So glad you are doing well.
