Re: Cassie 3/28-29

I think most of us are wishing we could rid ourselves of these damn 300s pre shoots  but the +4 looks pretty good.
Best to ya for a good day with more good numbers!

Re: Cassie 3/28-29 +12.5 186

+12.5 156/186

Unexpected. Of course, I also couldn't put of feeding, so I'll have to catch him pre-spike or wait a couple hours.

Re: Cassie 3/28-29 +12.5 156

I have no idea how about the PS 300's - we live there most of the time, too. But, the other numbers look good!

Have a great day -

Libby (and Hershey, too!)

Re: Cassie 3/28-29 +12.5 156

Pmps 345, 1.4u (+15)

Ugh! Of course tomorrow's my night class so I can't shoot at this time tomorrowk I'll be an hour from here in the middle of class.

Re: Cassie 3/28-29 +12.5 156

Who knows, maybe he'll decide to surf a little while again, and need to be shot late. That's the nice thing about PZI. From what I've read, I don't think the other insulins are quite as forgiving. We're very fortunate that way!

Re: Cassie 3/28-29

Amps 364, 1.4u (+12)

& boing!

Late surf followed by low bounce. Does that mean I need to decrease?

Re: Cassie 3/28-29-question

Probably, you're getting longer cycles and lower nadirs. Up til the last 2 cycles it looks like the 1.4 was giving you equal amps/pmps but now it's working harder and longer. That's great and all, but if you're concerned about not being around to test and having your shot times thrown all over the place not so good. See what you get tonight and post and someone will advise I'm sure. But he looks good!

Re: Cassie 3/28-29-question

+8 224

I either shoot @ +9 before I leave or +15 when I get back. Advice?

Re: Cassie 3/28-29-Quick response please

Me being a chicken - having gone through several hypo's with Hershey - hesitate to even think of shooting +9 if nobody is there to monitor. So, if it was me I'd go with +15

My $.02

Re: Cassie 3/28-29

Don't really want to shoot early, but waiting means we'll be 6 hours off scheduleafter his surf yesterday. Ugh.

Guess we'll just get off track.

Re: Cassie 3/28-29

Pmps 324, 1.2u (+15)

Reduction, now 6 hours off track. Will start shifting back tomorrow.

Re: Cassie 3/28-29

Doesn't look too bad for +15; certainly could've been a lot worse. I know it had to have been easier on you not having to worry about him going too low.

Have a good night -

Libby

Re: Cassie 3/28-29

Amps 212, 0.8u (+10)

Calculated risk; it'll be hard to get mid-cycle tests (or shot closer to +12) today since we're so far off schedule. Substantial reduction in the hopes that going 2 hrs. early isn't a problem.

Pmps 359/252, 1.2u (+12)

Ugh! Don't know which is right. First # seemed high, so I retested. Second # seems low. Sudden thunderstorm, so Cass wasn't cooperating. High enough to shoot regardless. Guess I'll settle for something in between.

Edit: break in the storm, got another test in. 358. Yuck, but expected and now at least I know.

I don't know how long he had to calm down before you did the retest during the break of the storm. The vet we used to go to church with told me it could take an hour or more for them to come back down from stress induced BG inflation. I've only tested Hershey once and know he wasn't recovered :30 later. I often wonder how much that plays into his PS
