Grr... He was doing so well before; I hate that I had to increase.

You'll get him back, Lisa. You are giving s tiny amount - a little more still isn't much? No chance of an infection or tooth issue?

I don't think there's an issue, but I'll keep an eye out. I know it's not a big deal, but I let myself get excited he was making progress. We've done this before, but it feels like two strps forward, one (big) step back. After 2 1/2 years, I'm getting tired of minimal progress. Guess it's just time for my semi-annual complaint session.

Yep. This is a good place for it. :-D I'd have suggested a change in insulin long ago but I can't see how the longer lasting ones would help on these tiny amounts and the swings you sometimes see. If you could ever get some from the supply closet without having to pay full price for a full supply, you could give it a try?

I don.t think anothe insulin is needed-it's not like it isn't working. And I am happy he's healthy and stable: it's just frustrating sometimes. Added complication-it's time for my annual conference, so the boys are going to mom's through the weekend. Mom will shoot but doesn't like testing. I'm trying to decide what dose to tell her; his ps's look better but he's not dropping much.

Hang in there sweetie!

We all get excited when they show improvement, but it's an up and down thing. They may backslide a little, but over the course of time, usually continue to improve. You've done a great job with Cassie. :thumbup
