Yep. He does like to bounce. Wonder about a sample syringe that tries to approximate 1.1 plus a drop? :dizcat

The other alternative is to work with the food. A little more, a little less, set meal times versus free feed. Anything there you can work with?

I feel your pain Lisa. All of a sudden we have a Tigger too @-)
Maybe tweaking food is the way to go. Less food certainly means less insulin for us. Might we worth looking into.

They already sort of have set meal times; they get 1/2 a can (each) friskees at shot time (1/4 fresh and 1/4 frozen, so it lasts longer), and 1/4 can around +6 (work days it's +4 before I go to work). Usually the smaller portion gets eaten immediately; they larger sometimes lasts until the next meal. With two boys, it's hard to strictly ration one--I really suspect Cass eats more of the food than Benny (instead of 1.5 cans each/day, I think Cass eats about 2 and Ben about 1). I don't know that there's much more adjusting I can do with food--he's back up to a good weight and seems stable. (Started at 16 pounds, down to about 8.5 at worst, back up to health 11 now). I rotate 5 kinds of food, all right at 6% carb.

Ugh.

Sue, maybe. But 3-5% in friskees tends to be all seafood. I need the larger cans, AND I have picky eaters.

Not a great cycle but the bright side is that Cass went low and held it!!!

Okay, there was a bounce at the end but this is great progress!!!

Yeah, I remember they are picky. How about finding one flavor they might go for,not seafood, that is lower carb and try alternating it with their favorite. See if there is any difference those cycles.

There just seems to be so little you can do with the dose. The only other variable is food.

Speculation: Cass did really well with the .6 after his long surf (excluding bounce). Is that jusr a rwaction to the wonkiness of the surf, or could he possibly need less insulin? Could explain the really high ps's lately. Been down this road before, but that was before he ever saw green. Thoughts?

Hhhmmm....
tough call
Cassie really surfed nice for a day, but went really high today ..
the SS kinda confused me..so you are shooting a completely different schedule now?
I think I see you shot a 1.2 at your normal mid day but that was cause the long surf and .6 yesterday
I would say to watch her on this cycle closely to make sure he doesnt go to low
and then I think you kinda need to take it day by day after what just happened
Lets see what everyone else says

Pmps 402, 1.2u (+12)

Yeah, we're 6 hours off due to his surf. I'll start shifting back after ny trip this weekend; new rimes are easier for mom. He's still sky high tonight.

At my parents' for a while. Mom will give 1u while I'm gone, since she won't test unless she has to. I'm off to a conference in WAY too early in the morning. Will be off radar until Sunday. Happy dancing!
