Yeah well sort of on the variance thing.
282 + 20% = 338ish
388 - 20% = 322ish
The only problem with using the meter variance to explain weirdness is that it is sometimes too convenient. You'd have to assume that the meter was off in one direction on the first number, but off in the opposite direction on the 2nd number.
Sometimes it's easier to just take the numbers at face value, especially when trying to figure out what the heck is going on. So, logic would say a food boost and no insulin action caused the climb to 388, then the food wore off and the insulin kicked in for the 282, which is a 30% drop or so from the high point.
If he's going to have flat-ish cycles, that's okay. From what Kim says about Kitty, that's what she does most of the time. But better flat than spikey, as long as the numbers come down all together. The thing we have to figure out with Cass isn't how to stop the bounces, it is "how do we make his numbers across the board come down, even if he stays pretty flat?"
