Casey's +4 BG is 81.... at what point should I get worried?

Hi everyone,

I had planned to just post a hypothetical question re: Casey's dosing for tomorrow; however plans all to often go array. I did not think her BG would have dropped this much between +2 and +4. I am adding a copy of what I put on as a follow-up on an earlier Levemir thread...

Tested her at +2 ~ 172, and now +4 ~81

I am telling myself it will be ok, perhaps Casey didn't eat enough. She still had ample food in her dish, so I sprinkled some flakes of freeze dried chicken treats on it to get her to eat more food.

Now for the new question...At what point would I be able to allow myself to get worried? (Instead of trying reasoning myself out of it.)

I didn't have time to look at his PMPS. What was it?

You're okay at 81, I think, but need to check at +5 to see if it's dropping still. Or +4.5.
Do you have hypo supplies handy? Like a nice can of wet with gravy? karo syrup?

Yes, I do have a Hypo kit and I plan to check her soon.

Ok,

This is something...maybe false alarm?? Or the incouragement to get her to eat more did the trick...

Her +5 BG is 112 :smile: , but will still keep checking and posting. I definitely will need guidance re: tomorrows dosing!!

That's probably a bump from eating. You still need to watch her at +6.

That's looking better. Testing again at +6 is a good idea but you should be okay.
