Carpal joint lump/ swelling

Anyone experienced their cat having a swelling or lump in their cat’s carpal joint? I have an appt next week with vet to start the diagnosing stage but wanted to see what folks here have experienced. Hoping it is not serious but given my cat is 14 I am preparing myself in case it is. Mac’s BG is doing well!

Sorry I cant help with the lump/swelling.
I see Mac is a tonkinese, beautiful cats. I had a tonk called Duchess and she lived to 22, and never had a sick day in her life.

Does Mac wald normally?
Most likely cause is a fall that causes hyperextension of the carpal joint.

Good news. After X-rays he was diagnosed with benign chronic arthritis. He is taking Adequan. And shows no sign of lameness so I am very happy with this outcome!
