Can someone please look at Zoey's spreadsheet and give me some guidance. She started on ProZinc 5 days ago, but her preshot numbers are still very high. She is currently on 1 unit of ProZinc. Would it be safe to move her up .5?

I see the night of the 21st, 1 unit brought her down into a nice green number, but then she hasn't been green mid cycle since. I'm assuming that 4 in the units column for this morning is a typo? You've definitely have held the 1 unit long enough that a dose increase would be fine. I would say raise 0.25 if you won't be around to monitor, but 0.5 if you would be around to monitor.

Me too. I definitely hope the 4 units for today is a typo as she is dropping 50% on one unit. I'd think she needs a little more also as she has room to drop a little more.

If you did give her 4 units this am, I hope you are around to check for a number around 5-7 hours after the shot, as she could drop low.

That was definitely a mistake! I gave her 1 unit this am. For some reason, my cursor jumps around when I'm filling in the spreadsheet. (But thanks for checking!)

I will probably wait until tomorrow to change the dosage so I can test her during the day. I'll try the .5 increase, but I will have to switch to the U-100 syringes because the U-40 are too difficult to measure. I have the conversion chart. If I'm reading the chart correctly, 3.5 on the U-100 syringe would equal 1.4 units?

3.5 on U100 is 1.4 units of U40 insulin, correct!

Whew, figured the 4 was a typo! Good luck with the increase!
