Can anyone tell me what the carb content is in this food? I have a case of it from the vet, and am now thinking there are probably better options out there. I'm hoping this food is sufficiently low enough in carbs that I can continue feeding until it's gone, but then switch to another brand. Can anyone help?
Thank you!

Have you checked the food chart at Cat Info? Its a great reference guide for shopping.

The canned has 14% calories from carbohydrates; we suggest no more than 10% calories from carbohydrates.

Thank you. I must have missed this one on the list. I had a feeling the amount was higher than I should be feeding. I thought I had seen somewhere that I should aim for 6% or lower. Is 10% the more common recommendation? I still have so much to read and learn!

You have to find what works for your cat - some or more carb sensitive than others.

I had to put the slash in it M/D to find it.

Hello and welcome to the board

I see you are going to get taught on home testing next week. Just FYI the vet may want to sell you the cat specific meter the alphatrak. Its a good meter but strips are expensive so many of us here use the Relion brand from walmart which is almost as good but much cheaper. we can give you more details if you like

Many of us here also feed the Fancy feast classic pates and friskies pates and wellness grain free which are under 10% calories from carbs and also reasonably priced. Good luck at the vets next week and let us know how you get on.
