CAPSTAR flea treament......

Has anyone used this flea treatment? How do your cats do on it? The frontline doesn't seem to work as well on one of my cats anymore. Fleas immune to it. The side effects don't look that good.

Also, anyone use the Program flea shot too?

I liked the Advantage Multi treatment. The one that treats for everything. When Baxter had fleas it only took 24 hrs & I saw them falling off.
My cousin used Frontline on his 2 cats & it didn't work either.

Have you treated your yard too? DH treats our yard & I don't have to give him Advantage. Baxter goes outside everyday & hasn't had fleas in 2 yrs. Knock on wood.. :razz:

We used Frontline and didn't find it worked, either. Sometimes we treat the yard (probably will have to this year after such a mild winter!), but since Hershey doesn't go out, we don't usually. When Hershey stayed on the in-law's closed in porch one week and brought home fleas, we found the best treatment was Borax. I know - somebody will probably tell me that wasn't good for him, but we tried all kinds of things and at least it worked.

I tried the advantage and it doesn't work at all. Guess immune in our area. The frontline has worked great on all the cats and dogs until this spring. One of the cats can't seem to get rid of them.

Wish i could treat the yard. We basically don't have a yard because we live in the woods on a mtn top. So impossible.

Thanks for input! My mom just heard about the capstar and it works great on her cat.

Oh gosh that's funny! Yeh I don't give DH Advantage.
DH gets mostly up by the house around the foundation.
