Hi, everybody!
First, I would like to apologize: I'm French, and my English isn't at the level of my willingness to stabilize my cat
From yesterday evening, I am doing a "live curve" with my vet: I do home testing of Capoo, which was still unthinkable a few days ago, but that's another story....
So yesterday morning, 8AM, Capoo received a shot of 8 UI of Caninsulin (Vetsulin).
I went to the vet at 6PM, and he was around 200 mg/dL , 10 hours after the shot.
And so, yesterday evening, we decided with my vet to draw a "live blood curve": I test my cat at home, send directly the results to my vet via SMS, and he tells me what to do.
And here below are the results:
Yesterday:
397 @ +12,5
429 @ +14,5. At that time, my vet asked me to inject 5 UI. So lets say that it is the PMPS
Today:
AMPS at 8AM (so only 10 hours from PMPS): 370 mg/dL. My vet asked me to inject 6 UI.
215 @ +3
277 @ +8
420 @ +11.5. My vet asked me to inject 7 UI for the night. He also asked me to test Capoo tomorrow, at 8AM (AMPS, and to give him 7 UI), 12AM, 3PM, 6PM and 9PM. Each time, I have to text him the results.
Last week, my vet succeeded in having the first blood curve of my cat at his office. My cat hasn't ate anything when he was at the vet, and the results were:
AMPS : 550 mg/dL. Injection of 8UI
+2.5 : 481
+6 : 140
+8 : 88
+9.75 : 103.
Does it inspire you? Any advice on how to regulate my cat? My vet will not be available every day and every night to tell me the suitable dose to inject
