I just made hamburgers for dinner and of course have all that nice beef fat left over. It's either scrape it into the garbage or wash it down the sink--unless, of course, I can give some to the felines for a snack. I have heard of too much fat causing pancreatitis, but not sure if that's the case in cats or just dogs. BTW, Charlie is still doing fine....

Garbage.
Down the sink will clog it over time and messes up sanitation systems.

Are they underweight? I suppose you might save a tiny amount to use as flavoring occasionally, but fat is 8.5 calories per gram vs the 3.5 of protein and a little goes a long way calorie wise.

no.. Charlie's probably right where he ought to be and Moustache is looking good, too. Their fur is kinda dry though... dunno what causes that.

Most cat foods are almost 50% of calories from fat so a little fat is not a concern fro cats but is, like you mentioned, high fat for dogs should be avoided.

Awesome, they both have dandruff again. I wonder if somehow their new diet is a little poor on those nutrients.
