My kitty is 14 yo fixed male. He is deaf. He has FHV so I give him Lysine with each meal.

He has been diagnosed with diabetes for about two months now. The vet had him on .5 units/2x day for two weeks, then we did a curve at vet and upped it to 1 unit/2x day.

His numbers aren't coming down tho. I had them on wellness cat food, but thanks to your charts, discovered that the protein is too low and carbs too high in this food. So I switched to TIKI cat (chicken only) and Fancy Cat Classic (chicken or turkey). I have to blend the TIKI as they don't like eating pulled meat- moreso snobby pâté only.

Please see my chart and let me know your thoughts. Many many thanks!!

What https://www.1800petmeds.com/Denosyl-prod10434.html are you using?
What were the result of the curve at the vet?
Your SS does not include sufficient BGs taken during same cycle that include both a preshot (PS) BG and BGs between shots to really help you.
If you are using a depot insulin like Lantus or Levemir it take greater than 3 days to see the full effect of a dose increase.

Hey Larry & Kitties: The vet just said that the BGL was still high, so upped it.
I work full time, so I'm not able to do curves every day - just on the weekend.
I'm using Lantus.

Also, thanks for posting your kitteh's chart and caring for your cat. It takes some persistence but eventually it will pay off. Over time you can increase the dose. The stickies at the top of each insulin subforum give guidelines for dosage changes.

Please make sure you read up on Hypos and how to handle them.

Just a comment after looking at Leo's SS notes, Jeff - you're taking such great care of your boy under very difficult circumstances. Kudos to you! :)
