I had managed Maverick's diabetes without insulin switching him from an insanely high carb food to wet food - Turkey and Giblets is what he picked. I'm currently giving him Presidents Choice brand. Its on Binky's spreadsheet. They've changed labels and I wonder if they changed ingredients too. I'm feeding him this exclusively right now.

We tried to get him eating Wellness and EVO and he won't touch it. I need higher calories due to Maverick's low appetite and needing to maintain a lot of weight (15.5 lbs down from 20 in December of last year - with blood work and vet monitoring to make sure he wasn't getting a repeat FHL diagnosis). So the seafood based foods are too low in calories.

:?: Please tell me what low carb foods you are actually feeding your cats. :?:

Thanks guys.

I feed the Special Kitty chicken and liver, turkey and giblets, duck, and chicken dinner; the Compliments turkey and giblets, beef pate, mixed grill, chicken dinner; Friskies turkey and giblets (pate), chicken dinner (pate), chef's dinner, tuna and whitefish (occasionally), salmon pate (occasionally); the PC ones listed in Janet's charts, the allowable FF ones, etc. Lots and lots! :)
