Canadian food question

Hello everyone!

I started Kovu on the purina DM canned food from the vet but I'm looking to switch over. We have another cat Simba who is not diabetic. They both like the DM food but it's expensive and as I've been reading it doesn't seem necessary.

I don't mind spending a bit more on food but the DM is very pricey. What do you all recommend? We are going through about 4 cans of the DM food (5.5oz) right now during a 24 hour period with both cats.
