Can someone offer dose adjustment advice?

Vet had her increase from 2u to 3u yesterday right after she opened up a new vial of Lantus after seeing ugly black and red numbers for a few days. Tonight, PMPS was not recorded, but an hour after the shot, kitty is at 191, then 213 at +3. Not looking like an emergency or anything, I don't think, but she's asking what dose to shoot in the AM (1u, 2u or 3u). I tried to explain the "stick with one dose" concept, but could use some voices of experience...)
