I just have 2 questions - Does the high Anion Gap mean he could have been borderline DKA at that point? And does the lack of increased blood cell count indicate that his teeth aren't really causing much problems with his BG?

Deanie and Boo (GA) and Scout Member Since 2009 Feb 1, 2012 #2 It just looks like he's dehydrated, not uncommon in a recently diagnosed diabetic. The high potassium due to the 3+ hemolysis could also be throwing it off. I dom't see anything worth worrying about right now.
