Yes, you can throw it away. For safety's sake you might want to empty the contents down the drain. If it is still good, you could sell or donate it, as well. I know this is a very difficult, painful time for you, sending prayers and (((hugs))).

You can drink the insulin if you want. It has some nutritional value. It is just an amino acid
