Can I use neosporin pain relief instead of vaseline for BG test?

NOPE I used it. Never made a difference in numbers

I use it too. It didn't affect the BG numbers at all. And I totally didn't put it on my own finger when I stuck myself. And my finger totally didn't feel better. Yep, never happened.

Vaseline is used before the prick to help the blood bead up. Not everyone needs to do it, I stopped after maybe a month. Neosporin is to be used after the prick to help the spot to heal.

arnica gel works well too and good for bruising

Neosporin ointment will also make the blood bead up...but the cream will make the blood wick into the fur...that's why we always stress the ointment!

Okay great. To me it didn't make any sense to put vaseline on first, then neosporin on after the prick. Just avoid the pain in the first place!!!!
