Hi Everyone
I posted a few days ago about Brie and his constipation. I got some great replies. I started the miralax on Sunday night. He's now getting it twice a day. I took him back to the vet today because he still seemed to be having problems. I had them do an xray. The distal portion of his colon had quit a bit of stool but the proximal portion of his colon looked good so the vet thinks the miralax is starting to help. Hopefully he just had to get the rest of the older stool out. He did have another enema. After his first enema he threw up. Probably most of his breakfast. His pm preshot sugar was low and I expected it to be lower. This time his pm preshot was low again but he didn't throw up after the enema so I was kind of surprised. Has anyone experienced this with enemas before? For anyone that followed the earlier post. I'm going to try him on cisapride once a day for a few days starting tomorrow.

Sandy

Logically, if you move the food through too fast, not as much can be digested; ditto with vomiting.
