can a cat hypo 12 hours after last shot. +12 79?

I just posted this in Doodle's condo:

I seriously doubt that there can be a hypo without insulin. I suspect that Doodle is running on fumes from the last dose and what we're seeing is some endogenous insulin from Doodle's pancreas kicking in. Remember, that food can trigger a pancreas that is still functioning to work.

You probably don't see this with PZI since there isn't overlap between doses. PZI is a shorter acting insulin than Lantus. However, a Lantus dose does wear off in 12 - 14 hrs. Another difference from PZI is that we see very few cats on Lantus experience a symptomatic hypo. Rather, they may experience low numbers without hypo symptoms. If there's been an overdose, the effects of Lantus may run longer than the usual 12-hour cycle.
