How's that for a "no shot in a few days" number?

She got on the sofa, hoping for some of my breakfast no doubt, but stayed a while. Beau was there and eventually turned around and "air" head-butter her (reminded me or air kisses) and then lay down just barely grazing her side. She ignored him. Poor Beau!

Well ignoring is better than running away or attacking...take the small blessings. :-D One of these days Cami and Beau will be cuddling. She is learning to accept his presence at least. How is she doing with the girls?

Re: Cami - 58 this morning! (1-16)

Leanne walks a wide circle around her for the most part, so when they pass close to each other they just go on their ways. I have seen them sniff noses a few time. Ariel, the extremely curious one, was hugely offended by all of Cami's growling and hissing the first month, so now she tries to intimidate her and Cami doesn't like her to even be near her. Ariel will come up close when Cami is lying down and do that leaning in, ears back, tail twitching thing and just glare at her. That always upsets Cami (of course) and I have to go shoo Ariel away.

Cami is getting on the sofa all the time now, but not staying long - not like the length of time she sleeps on the mat in the front hall.

She was 81 tonight.

The family dynamics of an intro'd kitty are interesting. It just takes time, doesn't it?

81 looks great!

Yes, very interesting. And they are all different. I had so many expectations of her proceeding with the same pace as Jeddie - which meant exploring his full surroundings from day 3 or something. It has been three months now and she is just beginning to be curious about what is outside the windows and where she can get to (like the sofa). Jeddie slept on the sofa the first day I let him out of the bedroom up north and the first day we were home here. In fact, I brought him upstairs first and let him out of his carrier to explore while I went down for the others and he was already on the window shelf looking out at the street when I was done unloading the car.

She was 77 this am

Those are some great numbers for Cami!

She is SO trying to get there!

Re: Cami - 58 this morning! (1-16)

I can so relate to how different they all are, Autumn was out and about within a week of moving in with us...Maxwell who has been here now for the last 2+ years is just now venturing out of the bedroom/dining room..And mostly because he discovered that daddy has bacon or sausage in the morning and daddy is a soft touch for MaxMax so he gets to share breakfast. Interestingly he loves original turkey sausage links but shuns the maple flavored ones...Smart kitty he knows the maple isn't good for him :-D He also turns his nose up at turkey bacon but will take you hand and most of your arm off for regular apple smoked bacon.

Autumn on the other hand, shuns most people food unless it is chicken or steak then she will try to climb in your plate, but she does it very sneaky..like we can't see a big fluffy 14lb cat with a big bright orange maple leaf on her forehead creeping across the table.. She will start out sitting politely beside us giving us Puss in Boots eyes and then if we ignore her, in slow motion she moves one foot at a time until she is on the table, but if you look at her she lays down and closes her eyes and pretends she is sleeping...lol

Cami you are looking so pretty in those nice green numbers...just keep it up and you can have the treats without the pokes wouldn't that be fun?

and 81 tonight (18th), but did NOT want to be tested. She wanted her turkey! I had to let her get down and let her cry at me for her treats. I kept telling her "no turkey until you get back up here and sit still". After a minute or two I picked her up again and started over. She still resisted but I was able to hold her still long enough to get the drop into the strip. She is like that sometimes - just too impatient for the treats - and VERY wiggly! You wouldn't think a cat that frail and small could struggle against me that well. Of course, I don't want to hold her as strongly as I could Jeddie when he decided to not be tested. I'm afraid of hurting her.
