Cami 198 this am (3-19) Sigh

She has been doing pretty well, but yesterday had some soft stool and overnight vomited a tiny bit of bile. Then this am her BG was 198. I wonder if she is in pain, hence the high number. She has held her BG fairly steady around 100 for the past two weeks - this is a huge spike for her. Resp rate is good though (26/min), and was a little higher yesterday. Maybe she had some nausea or something yesterday and is shaking it off now.

She has a follow up appt on Thursday for xray and US, and probably blood work. I have no idea how I am going to pay for all this. Please send "hire Sheila" vibes! I had a very good Jan & Feb, but the invoices have not been paid yet and I have had no work since mid Feb.
 
Fingers, toes and paws all crossed for you both... I don't remember did they ever test her p-titus? Glad she is still breathing easier and hopefully the next round of checkups will give you a better answer to what is going on with her.

She is still high tonight - 180. And her belly "exploded" today. It had been getting smaller, but tonight it is a big as I have ever seen it and very hard. She must be really uncomfortable. Her appetite is amazing though - and huge poops!

She was a little better this morning: 157, so she still got some insulin. I upped the dose a tad to .15u in the hopes that it can being her back down. Still, I think something is going on inside and the elevated BG is not related to the pred she is taking, so that worries me.

But I am also frustrated that all that she seemed to accomplish over the past two weeks, indicated by the decreased bloating, has reversed itself.
