First, I have to thank Kim for keeping us all up last night. If it weren't for her episode, who knows how long this would have continued. ;-)
Since the first day Rocky arrived at my house, he found himself a "safe spot" where he likes to go and sleep. This spot is under the kitchen sink. He just opens the door with his paw and crawls way in the back.
This is something new to Callie Mae. She has never figured out how to do such things. She would rather *stare* at a door and have the magic door fairy come open it for her, being the princess that she is and all.
Well, when DH came home from work last night (11pm, est) he was in the kitchen making a snack. I was on my laptop in the living room.
I looked over in the kitchen and noticed the door under the sink kinda cracked open a bit. I knew it wasn't Rocky, he had already gone to bed. Under the bed. So I asked hubby, did you have that cupboard door open?
He replied, No, I think it's Callie Mae.
Hummm, I thought. She must be watching Rocky and learning a few things.
So I decide to go in the kitchen and open the door and ask her what's she doing. You know how we all do. That kitty-baby talk.
Well, to my surprise, there she sat, ON an old bag of KIBBLE that had been shoved so far back in the cupboard that it must have been buried by all the plastic bags we keep under there for our recyclables. It had to have been there for quite some time, as I haven't purchased that brand in at least 5-6 months.
At any rate, THIS is why my little darling hasn't been wanting to eat! AND why her numbers are so high.
And here I thought, all this time, she was stressed out because of Rocky.
In fact, after reviewing her SS last night, I *think* I know when she first started getting into the bag. Her stomach wasn't used to it anymore and I noticed a little runny poo in her box one day. And it wasn't long till she was hitting the yellows and getting injections.
Needless to say, I pulled EVERYTHING out of that cupboard last night to make sure there wasn't so much a 1 little crumb of dry kibble under there. The little sh*!
And I'm SURE Rocky has had jis fill too.
So now I know I need to really get some good readings on him since I'm sure the dry wasn't helping with trying to get him regulated.
Anyway, that's my story.
Nice, huh?
