Hello everyone. For several years I've enjoyed making videos for the celebration of our kitties going OTJ. Now, unfortunately, I'm seriously ill and in the hospital and unable to do them for the foreseeable future.

I hope someone will be able to take over for me, at least for awhile. I wish I could do this forever but that's not to be.

What technical skills and software are required to be able to make these videos?
 
The ability to use any video editor that can make slideshows of photos and videos. There's one available in Windows and one on Mac, or any commercial editor. The ability to use Photoshop, GIMP, or any image editor to crop and adjust photos and add text.

The hardest part is coming up with silly jokes, lol.

Unfortunately at this time I don't have access to my Photoshop files with the OTJ kitties slides, the Niagara Falls and fireworks clips, etc. I might be able to have a friend share them.

I might be able to figure it out in a pinch but I’m not savvy when it comes to video editing … I’m a graphic designer but videos are not in my wheelhouse.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me when we get an OTJ, I’ll do my best to help out. Maybe @Hendrick Cuddleclaw wife and I can tag team…. Some big shoes fill, Camille does such a wonderful job!

I'm so sorry to hear your news @Camille and Cyclone. Hopefully someone will be able to take over on the videos. I am, of course, happy to work with anyone who can do this on making the parties happen. And sending healing vines and hope for a quick recovery for you - you need to be the most important thing in your life right now. :bighug:

Oh no, I’m so sorry @Camille and Cyclone , sending my best wishes. I’m not great with te by stuff but I’m ok-ish, I’ve not been in the forum lately as I am helping with an ill family member, but in the future perhaps I could do more to help. Thanks to @Hendrick Cuddleclaw and his wife for giving it a go!
 
Oh, no... I'm sorry to hear you are ill. Your videos are awesome and bring joy to so many. I still watch my Tango's now and then. I wish you the best and hope to see your OTJ celebration videos again.

My wife said she can rip audio from Hen's OTJ video for the musical part and the rest she will do her best. I can certainly help with corny jokes as a resident cat Dad. :D

yeah my wife is trying to figure out a way to keep the OTJ kitties section current without the files, but if they can be sent, that would be spectacular. I will message you an email address

You can try to screen-record your phone while the OTJ kitties section is playing on YouTube. And after, you'll have to add the most recent OTJ kitty's (Bobo, I think) picture to that part. That part might take some work. :joyful:

My wife got it sorted but thanks. She uses a program which rips video and audio right from YT
