Hello all! I am hoping to hear some feedback from people who use calipers. Are there some that work better than others? What are some basic things to know before ordering them? And how do I set them up? I am fed up with these mismarked syringes!

Would something like this help for syringe accuracy? https://felinediabetes.com/FDMB/threads/3d-printed-syringe-dosage-helpers.297191/

Buy one with a digital display. You don't need anything more than 150mm / 6 inches in length or with fancy features. Set up is insert battery and turn on :) Slide the prongs close and make sure the display reading is zero. Then you're ready to measure. Practice on a cat toy ball. Slide open the prongs, insert ball in between the prongs, slide prongs close until they touch the ball. Look at the display for the measurement.

Most calipers will have a screw that you can tighten to lock the prongs at a specific measurement. I think that's what FDMB caliper users do so they know that their syringe has the amount of insulin the cat needs every time.
