Hi everyone
I haven't posted much since joining but all of the information has been an enormous help! I am in need of more lantus and I know I read somewhere of an online pharmacy (I think based in Canada?) to purchase lantus. I've searched but can not seem to find the info. If someone could share that info I would appreciate it.
ozzy update: ozzy has been doing well although I wouldn't say he is regulated yet. My vet has been fabulous!! She is open to home testing and has been working with me financially. I have not been successful with home testing yet...in part because my hands are numb often from a spine condition which makes it pretty tough. But we keep at it slowly and I'm sure we can do it.
thanks all!!

On the home testing. Someone recently posted this idea for a difficult to test sugar baby. Find a cozy box. Put a blanket in it. Encourage Ozzy to jump on in. Cover him with another Fleece blanket so he can't move much. The less he moves the easier for mom to pokey.

This is great advice. I do a variation of it with mine when I give him his fluids. I sit on the floor and use my legs to put gentle pressure on either side of his body. Squeezing the body, like you're being hugged, both releases oxytocin (the bonding hormone released by pregnant women during childbirth), endorphins, and it suppresses the central nervous system. He may struggle a little at first but he will calm right down. I've used this tight hug technique a few times even on human children when I've babysat until late at night and the kid has a night terror. The Thundershirt that sells on petsmart and Amazon...same principle.
