I know a LOT of people on here i hear from feed their kitties Friskies and Fancy feast pate's and I am completely on board with getting a more budget friendly food. I always fed my cats before the wet food the Purina dry food for adult cats. now I feed them true nature, Purina grain free wet food.
today i got his usual stock of food from the store ( 60 bucks a month or more for 48 cans geeze .__.;; )
I thought it might be easier to get some Friskies or Fancy feast and I was wondering if any one here knew a gentle way to to switch them / Or even test if they like it with out messing with his insulin too much or if it WOULD mess with it. His situation if you see my spread sheets pretty promising!! its getting way under control and I'm really liking his numbers! the night time ones confuse me but I'm trying my best!
I bought two cans of Friskies pate in case there was a way to test to see if they enjoy this brand and flavor. I know i need to wait till he's surely on a set predictable numbers set but with 48 cans of true nature to go i think i can manage to do that over this month before switching him IF i can.
I'm simply in the market for some thing a little less budget destroying since I'm wanting to save money for a medical trade school.

Just don't move too fast...add 1/4 of the new food to the old and gradually increase it until you've completely transitioned....and if 1/4 is too much, start with even less!!

Pay attention.....some flavors will probably be a bigger hit than others

Thank you so much! I know they like this food but my budget is getting a tad tight. Thanks for the advice!! Illl try that when I'm closer ed of moth more stable numbers on the SS!

Exactly what Chris said :). You'll know if you need to move slower from the litter box . Most kitties seem to do better when transitioning wet foods. Maury had to be transitioned from DM to YA over like a month but no issues if I switched between FF or Friskies ;)

There's no problem feeding Friskies and/or Fancy Feast pates - much easier on your wallet. Slow transition is the way to go.

How fast you make the transition will depend on them with some you can just switch completely with others you will need to go mixing old food with new one a little bit at a time.

Just make shure the variety you choose of Friskies or Fancy Feast is low carb not all are
