? Brewer's Yeast in PlaqueOff - yay or nay?

Yesterday my poor dachshund had to have a dental cleaning (little bit of gingivitis they said) and that got me reading up on teeth brushing and such for dogs. I saw a lot of people mentioning PlaqueOff and it reminded me of this recent thread.

Now I'm planning on getting the cat/dog version for my dogs at least, but there is a cat version that includes Brewer's Yeast, apparently to get the cats enticed enough to eat it. There was mention that it may lower BG levels, not sure if that was just from the seaweed aspect or not, but is Brewer's Yeast safe for sugar cats?

I have a friend that sprinkles brewers yeast on her kitties food. Been using it for a year and kitty is still here. He looks great too! If i wasnt in a hurry I'd google then post.
