I lost my cat Corey on Friday April the 11th.I live in New Jersey..the Wall Township area of Monmouth County. Corey and I struggled to regulate him but were not successful so he is now at the Rainbow Bridge. He had other issues going on with his kidneys and he got very bad and it was the humane thing to do for this wonderful creature the Good Lord allowed me to care for for over 10 years.. I had refilled his Lantus and it is unopened in my refrigerator and I would like to help someone else that has a diabetic kitty that is on Lantus and is in need.. It's not an easy disease for any of us to deal with especially when you are trying to help your kitty...Please email me at stevensenff@gmail.com and let me know the situation that you are in insulin wise. Like I mentioned I am in central NJ location wise.My name is Nancy and my husband is Steve.

Oh Nancy and Steve! I'm so sorry that you lost your Corey. That is so hard. Big hugs to you both.

You might contact Venita of DCIN (Diabetic Cats In Need) by PM (private message) to see if she knows of a kitty in the NJ area that needs the lantus. Her member id here is Venita and Ennis93. Just go to the User Control Panel, Private Messages tab and compose a message. You need to have her member name in the box to the left of where it says "Add member", a subject line and some text in the box before you submit the private message.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It's wonderful that you want to pay it forward by offering Corey's insulin to someone else. That's so kind of you!

But you should probably edit your post and remove your email address for safety sake. People on the board can contact you via private message.

I'm so glad that you and Corey were blessed with 10 years of love and companionship. May those give you comfort in the days to come. In addition to a lifetime of wonderful memories, I hope that helping another kitty in need with the insulin can be part of his lasting legacy.
