Just a quick question:

Roughly 2 weeks ago I switched my 4 cats over to canned food from dry. I have noticed their BM's are few and far between and they're dark, hard and much smaller. Should I be concerned? They all eat fine... but could they be bound up from the switch? I always thought wet food sometimes gives loose BM's, but its the opposite for mine... Any suggestions/comments?

My diabetic kitty got the runs from switching from dry to canned, but my other two non-sugar cats are just fine. I guess it depends on each kitty`s unique physical makeup.

We suggest gradual food transitions to give the bowel a chance to become accustomed to the new food and reduce the chances of vomiting and diarrhea. Sometimes, a probiotic such as Forti Flora or Intelliflora may help, if it isn't due to infection.
