Bouncing?

I'm just curious, if a cat is bouncing and you increase their dosage, will that dosage increase dramatically affect their number at the end of the bounce? In Taz's case, he keeps falling to numbers that make him bounce again. He was increased today, so I'm curious if that will slow bouncing? Or will it cause it to be worse by giving lower numbers? I hope that makes sense.

The way to stop bouncing is to try and get your kitty into normal numbers as much as possible so they get used to them again. Cats bounce because they have got used to higher numbers and think they are the normal numbers now. So when they do drop into lower numbers, they bounce because they think they have dropped too low.
Eventually most cats bodies will recognise the lower numbers as being the normal numbers and stop bouncing .....but some cats will bounce all the way to remission.
Just keep following the SLGS method and increase when the numbers tell you to, and decrease when your kitty drops under 90.
Cats coming off the bounce can drop quite quickly and lower than normal so just be aware of that.

Thank you so much! This answered my question perfectly. I did notice after his last bounce, that he dropped to 103, which is low for him. If he drops below 90 while coming off of a bounce, does that still qualify for a reduction?

Yes. But if you are aware that he is coming off the bounce, you can feed him to slow the drop and prevent dropping too low..
