Just fyi - when you see a post that has information that you think might be helpful in the future - you can either bookmark it using your browser, or you can bookmark it on FDMB.

Look at the bottom of the post and there is an option for "bookmark topic." Click there and it will be saved for your future reference.

To find your bookmarked topics, go to the top right LEFT of your screen under the FDMB logo and select "User Control Panel."

Under User Control Panel, select "Manage Bookmarks."

There you will see a list of posts that you have bookmarked.

BWAHAHAHA ok, not THAT right. your other right, you know - the top LEFT of the screen is where you'll find the "User Control Panel."

thanks for the help with my lefties and my righties, dyana!

Where the User Control Panel link is on your screen depends on what board style you are using  It might be on the right or on the left. There is "prosilver", "prosilver special edition", and "subsilver2". You can change the board style setting in the Board Preferences section of User Control Panel.

Thanks Squeem3,

I knew there were styles, but I didn't know it changed the way the top of the board looked. Makes sense. And thanks again Julie. Bookmarking is a very useful tool.

Hi julie,
User conrol panel isn't under the fdmb logo only "home", "forums", and "conversations(pm)".

I think Julie's post was from the old board in fact dated 2012, Paula. That is why I keep asking about this. I want to see my old bookmarks as well.

Pro-Silver sounds good to me! I am always pro-Silver :D

I can't find it...so perhaps that feature is gone.

However you can always bookmark using your own browsers feature. I have a bookmark folder on my browser (Chrome ) for Felite Diabetes and more folders within that ...getting started, research, high dose conditions, etc.

Also the search feature on this new site is excellent. For example, I just typed in "Where+can+i+find" and clicked "search titles only" and that I was lookin for my own post and immediately the one I wanted popped up.

One handy tip...copy the url of your own condo if you have something interesting & want to save it, and paste it in the remarks column of your ss. You'll have a hot link you can go back to. I have several of punkin's saved that way where significant discussions or events happened that I thought I might want to refer back to at some point.

How do I get to the old board to copy my bookmarks? Every time I try to get there I end up here. Thanks.

Julie, you are correct. What we used to call "bookmarks" on the old board do not exist "here". There are a couple of options, one of which you just described. There aren't any simple solutions. Writing about this issue in the tech forum area is on my to-do list for tomorrow.
